As the lightest, shallowest wheel in Reynolds' Performance line, the Reynolds Attack Carbon Tubeless Wheelset sheds some 400 grams off 30mm aluminum clinchers for maximum rolling efficiency. Suddenly, accelerating from a standstill and attacking the steepest climbs becomes less of a chore. Plus, its 25mm rim width further enhances efficiency by decreasing rolling resistance. It also provides an increased contact patch with the road, which in turn allows you to run lower air pressure for a smoother overall ride. The last benefit gained by upgrading to wider rims is increased cornering grip for extra stability, especially when you're riding at high speeds. New for this year, Reynolds upgraded this wheelset to a tubeless-ready configuration. This modern upgrade improves the wheels' smooth-rolling characteristics without sacrificing its lightweight, ultra-efficient performance. Plus, the tubeless wheel-tire interface prevents flats from riding over puncture-causing debris, such as sharp goat heads. The last key ingredient to the Attack Carbon Wheelset's success lies within its CTg brake track, which decreases the braking drawbacks usually associated with carbon wheelsets. This laminate was developed to withstand much higher braking temperatures than typical carbon wheelsets, eliminating the risk of the rim overheating and subsequently failing under hard braking. Furthermore, Reynolds included its Cryo-Blue Power brake pads for safer, more consistent braking performance with their CTg laminate.
